Beats FOR Peace

Seit 12 Jahren vereint der WorldBeatClub e.V. politischen Aktivismus und musikalische Lebensfreude in einer einzigartigen Art und Weise. Mit Workshops und Kulturveranstaltungen möchten die Macher:innen JEDEM einen Zugang zu Kultur und Musik ermöglichen.

Nach dem großen Erfolg bei der Festival-Ausgabe 2022 wird auch bei Ruhr International 2024 der WorldBeatClub e.V. an beiden Festivaltagen die Beats FOR Peace-Bühne sowie die Begegnungs-Lounge in völliger Eigenregie planen und umsetzen und mit unterschiedlichsten Beiträgen lokaler Künstler:innen, Musiker:innen und Aktivist:innen und einem umfangreichen Programm mit Konzerten, DJ-Sets, Performances und Begegnungsformaten beleben.

Die DJs Kosta Kostov, POK und Brassputim sorgen für globale Beats, DJ Mosti bringt mit Salsa und Bachata-Rhythmen (inklusive Workshop) Schwung auf die Tanzfläche. Einige lokale Künstler:innen werden ebenfalls präsentiert. Das Speed Talking mit Ximena León verspricht spannende Begegnungen. Und natürlich wird auch getrommelt!

For 12 years, the WorldBeatClub e.V. has been combining political activism and musical joy in a unique way. Through workshops and cultural events, the organizers aim to provide EVERYONE with access to culture and music.

Following the great success of the 2022 festival edition, the WorldBeatClub e.V. will once again independently plan and execute the Beats FOR Peace stage and the Encounter Lounge on both days of the Ruhr International 2024 festival. The event will be enriched with various contributions from local artists, musicians, and activists, offering an extensive program including concerts, DJ sets, performances, and interactive formats.

DJs Kosta Kostov, POK, and Brassputim will bring global beats, while DJ Mosti will infuse the dance floor with salsa and bachata rhythms (including a workshop). Several local artists will also be showcased. The Speed Talking session with Ximena León promises exciting encounters. And, of course, there will be drumming too!
