Der Lunatic Circus e.V. ist ein gemeinnütziger Verein in Bochum, der die Kunst und Kultur seit mehr als zehn Jahren fördert. In seinem Mittelpunkt steht primär die Begegnung von Menschen. Sein Ziel ist es, alle in einer möglichst schönen Atmosphäre zusammenkommen zu lassen. Und das realisiert er mit unterschiedlichsten Veranstaltungen.
In diesem Jahr ist Lunatic Circus e.V. zum ersten Mal bei Ruhr International – Das Fest der Kulturen dabei und hat ein Programm auf die Beine gestellt, das sich an die Jugend in und um Bochum wendet.
Wer immer schon mal selbst Musik machen und rappen oder DJ sein wollte, hat nun die Gelegenheit dazu, denn Lunatic Circus e.V. bietet die Möglichkeit, Teil eines Workshops zu werden und sich mit richtigen Profis auszuprobieren, sowie anschließend die eigenen Ergebnisse auf der Bühne zu präsentieren und mitzuerleben, wie aus dem Disco-Cube ein richtiger Club wird. Für alle, die lieber mit einer Spraydose an eine Wand sprayen wollen, richtet Lunatic Circus e.V. einen Grafitti-Workshop aus. Auch hier haben die jungen Besucher:innen die Chance zu lernen, wie es richtig geht.
Das ist aber lange noch nicht alles! Darüber hinaus gibt es die Möglichkeit einen eigenen Hula-Hoop-Reifen zu basteln, der dann – angeleitet vom Künstlerkollektiv Istari – direkt im Artistik- und Jonglage-Workshop eingesetzt werden kann.
Und on top gibt es noch riesengroße Seifenblasen und ein Figurentheater, das den Titel "Furchteis Sorgé" trägt.

The Lunatic Circus e.V. is a non-profit organization in Bochum that has been promoting art and culture for more than ten years. Its primary focus is on bringing people together, aiming to create a beautiful atmosphere for everyone to gather. This is achieved through a variety of events.
This year, for the first time, the Lunatic Circus e.V. is participating in Ruhr International - Das Fest der Kulturen and has organized a program specifically targeting the youth in and around Bochum.
For anyone who has ever wanted to make music, rap, or be a DJ themselves, now is the chance because the Lunatic Circus e.V. offers the opportunity to join a workshop and try things out with real professionals. Participants can then showcase their own results on stage and experience how a disco cube transforms into a real club atmosphere. For those who prefer spray painting on a wall, the Lunatic Circus e.V. is organizing a graffiti workshop. Here, young visitors have the chance to learn the art from experts.
But that's not all! Additionally, there is an opportunity to create your own hula hoop, which can then be used in an acrobatics and juggling workshop guided by the artist collective Istari.
And to top it off, there will be giant soap bubbles and a puppet theater titled "Furchteis Sorgé".
